PİLOT returns to its space at Sıraselviler No. 83 after 12 years, with the group exhibition "Homecoming." Opening on September 17, 2026, Homecoming brings together new works, most produced specifically for the exhibition, by artists the gallery has worked with for many years: Hamra Abbas, Ece Ağırtmış, Atıf Akın, Tufan Baltalar, Melih Çebi, Uğur Cinel, Emir Erkaya, Zeren Göktan, Halil Altındere, Ali Miharbi, M.K. Perker, Murat Şahinler, Constantinos Taliotis, İrem Tok, and Gözde Mimiko Türkkan.

Since its founding, PİLOT has run an artist-focused, thought-based program shaped around themes such as social fragility, displacement, feminism, and ecology. Through the unexpected connections it has drawn between different artistic practices, PİLOT has opened space for the plural voices of contemporary art. The dialogues it has developed over the years with artists from both the Turkish and international scenes, and its support for those artists' participation in international museum, biennial, and institutional exhibitions, have remained defining elements of the gallery's identity.

The gallery's first exhibition in its new space, Homecoming, brings together works in which the artists follow their own questions, rather than converging on a single thematic focus. It offers a perspective drawn from Heidegger's concept of Gestell: a structural frame that shapes how we perceive, make sense of, and move through the world, like a window directs our gaze, or a skeleton holds up a body. Homecoming acts as a frame that holds the works together without imposing a single meaning onto them. Produced across different mediums and techniques, the works speak to one another around core concerns: the relationship between human, nature, and technology; the tension between the sacred and the everyday; the politics of the gaze; the materiality of time; and the archaeology of memory. Within this dialogue, the exhibition's flexible architecture lets new layers of meaning emerge on their own.

PİLOT's space, once home to a popular nightclub in the 1970s, has been renewed with the careful approach of Autoban, the internationally recognized multidisciplinary design studio. With its multi-purpose layout opening space for the different languages of art, the gallery offers a setting rooted in history, place, and culture; one that values storytelling and speaks to the senses.
